I have heard a lot about compounded medications in the news. What are they and how are they different from regular medications?Compounded medications are medications made by a compounding pharmacy rather than the original pharmaceutical company. Compounded medications can be similar to and just as effective as the original medication. The benefit of compounded medications is the more affordable price but please note that compounded medications have not been approved by the FDA and are not covered by insurance. Some of the popular compounded medications may no longer be available, but we can can provide prescriptions for medications that remain on the market.

How are you different from all the other weight loss businesses out there? We are a specialty medical clinic where you will be seen by a board-certified obesity medicine physician. Our goal is not to push medications at you. We will create a comprehensive plan for you to become the best version of yourself and maintain those changes for the long term. When you leave our office, you will leave with three different prescriptions - a prescription for dietary modification, a prescription for physical activity modification, and lastly a prescription for medication (if appropriate) to jump start your weight loss journey. We are with you on every step of your journey to a better you!
